While not the best pizza at sea, it features five different options and remains open until the wee morning hours for late night snacks. Next door, there’s also the Deco Deli which features 12 different sandwiches. Guy’s Burger Joint remains one of the best takeout burger joints at sea. On Carnival Celebration, this venue has been enhanced with more seating and a larger counter for quicker service.

Featuring classic and contemporary Latin music, this production fell short when compared to the great entertainment offerings on other cruise lines. While better than the main dining room, both restaurants had rather simple menus and lackluster food preparation, especially when compared to other cruise lines. Like other newer mega-ships, Carnival Celebration has several smaller pool areas to disperse crowds. This central Lido pool is the liveliest space with music, afternoon sing-alongs, and other Fun Squad events. Nearby are several outdoor eateries and the two-story RedFrog Tiki Bar. As a professional traveler, it's not a huge surprise that one of my favorite public areas on the ship is the travel-themed The Gateway.

Surprisingly, our balcony felt much larger than the advertised size. It might have been due to our location, as Deck 10 includes additional rail space when compared to the decks above it. The balcony was deep, with plenty of room for two chairs and a small table.

The program will launch on Celebration before later being rolled out fleet-wide. The ship will also feature new food and beverage options like travel-inspired bar Latitudes and Emeril’s Bistro 1397 from Emeril Lagasse, serving international cuisine. If you’ve been on a cruise before, you know how chaotic the buffet restaurant is. Walking around the huge area several times to find a table, trying to find your family, people walking every direct and cutting in line, is all part of the experience. We didn’t find the main dining room service or food the best, and we only ate there several nights on our 7 seven-night cruise.

The 130 AquaClass Cabins on the Celebrity Eclipse (category AQ) are 195 square feet and have a 54 square foot balcony.

Celebrity Eclipse cost a whopping $750 million to build, more than even Celebrity Silhouette, which followed Eclipse as the last Solstice-class cruise ship, by nearly $40 million. The spa menu includes your typical massages, wraps, scrubs and facials, but you can also find medi-spa services like cosmetic injections and acupuncture, as well as some extra services like teeth whitening. At the Lawn Club, there’s an actual, living lawn with actual, living grass. It’s a fun spot to hang out, chill and enjoy the weather. The Lawn Club also features a bocce court and putting course.
